“I have an affection for those transitional seasons, the way they take the edge off the intense cold of winter, or heat of summer.” Whitney Otto “How to Make an American Quilt”

Can you imagine a quilt with these colors? It might keep you awake at night! Reminds me of one of those Crazy Quilts, where you piece together jigs and jags of bright contrasting colors.

Now, can you find the three horses? The blue one is in the shade reaching down to get a drink. The red one is eyeing the blue one realizing they have found a watering hole. The white one has not even noticed the summer heat yet. Which horse are you in life? Do you always reach out for things before anyone else? Do you stay alert and weigh what is happening around you before jumping in? Or are you oblivious to most of it?

“Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.” James 5:7
