Adventures are not all pony-rides

“Adventures are not all pony-rides in May-sunshine.” JRR Tolkien

This painting had so much discovery in it as it came to be. The colors excited me and the horses that appeared everywhere made me smile. It was a hard choice what to bring out.

God has days prepared for each of us. Depending on our thoughts, our walk and our decisions brings about the actual results. That is part of our gift of being human, to have choices. NOW, we need to learn to make the right choices. Perhaps we might say the Godly choices.

With the age of the internet and social media, we are faced constantly with too many choices forcing an overload. When my kids were young we limited TV to only two hours a day. We did not want the ‘overload’ in their heads. They played together both inside and out and we limited toy purchases as well. Now babies are on ipads or screens as soon as their eyes focus. Children today have more toys than they can ever play with. Parents seem to thing more is better.

Having less choices is best. Opening the door to the world is truly dangerous and in my mind NOT GODLY.

You have to believe in God’s Word, and be willing to listen and wait on answers from him. It is never an immediate answer. Remember to ask faithfully knowing He will respond in time. . Wisdom for me is God. It is time for more of us to make those Godly choices.

Can you survive off the internet or without TV for more than a day, or a week, or even a month? If I did not have to do social media marketing and this blogging, I would turn it ALL OFF. I believe we would all find a ‘new life’.

“Go, stand in the temple courts,” he said, “and tell the people all about this new life.” Acts 5:20
