Heavenly Music

“Music isn't just a pleasure, a transient satisfaction. It's a need, a deep hunger; and when the music is right, it's joy. Love. A foretaste of heaven. A comfort in grief. Is it too much to think that perhaps God speaks to us sometimes through music? How, then, could I be so ungrateful as to refuse the message?” Orson Scott Card

Music is probably a larger part of my heart and soul than my art. I have always been an artist and loved creating, but the joy of playing my baby grand for hours…hymns and classical music, and the joy of my guitar, which I have played since I was 13, and then this gorgeous harp Terry had commissioned for me, made in Australia, it is beautiful. I played avidly for most of my life,, but art took over and life spun a different direction.

I do believe music is a taste of heaven… part of music are the beautiful sounds he created in the world, like a nearby waterfall, or rain and thunder on a stormy night, or even the tide going in and out at the beach.

Romans 1:17 “For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
