“All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost.  From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king.”  JRR Tolkien

January is certainly flying by faster this year than last year. Seems like the older you get, the faster the clock flies by and the calendar pages turn. Despite all good intentions I only completed a portion of what I needed to today... or rather what I THOUGHT I needed to. God obviously did not agree with it and hence, here I am at almost 6:30 still working, but promised Terry I would be done in a few moments.

Why do we continue to push ourselves?  Do you do it?  My daughter does it and both my sons do it as well. God really does not want this for us. Every scripture I turn to lately has words that say "Stay... Wait... Trust .... Be Quiet ... " and from that God can work. He can strengthen us, he can guide us closing doors all around us so we pass through the correct one, he can prepare us for what is ahead by trusting and resting in him for strength. We are nothing... he is everything. In quietness and trust in Him will we find our strength.

The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.  Psalm 29:11
