Human Kind and Kindness, aka Generosity
“Generosity is giving more than you can, and pride is taking less than you need.” Kahlil Gibran
May we all be generous in all things this week and use the wealth and gifts God has provided for us to actually bless others and glorify God. God blesses us constantly. He wants us to use His blessings to bless others. That would not be blessing just the ‘good guys’ in your life, but your enemy in life.
He knows your every need. He knows your every want. He will always provide if you are generous with what you have been provided. We are all but stewards in our lifetime of everything we have. We are not owners and we cannot take it with us when we die. Makes me realize there is no need for ‘extra’ or too many ‘wants’ as they have piled up in collections through my life.
What do you value in life? Do you value the right things? We tend to all value those things that will pass away over time, instead of valuing our Eternal Life with God.
1 John 3:16-18
“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
