Prom Night . Pop Art
“White Chocolate. Intense, sweet. But not deep. Okay for prom dates or flings, but not to get serious..Milk chocolates are guys you could date for like a few months, and dark chocolates are for love.” E Lockhart
I only have a few more Pop Arts to share, and then may do some old old portraits or just figurative 10-15 years ago. Prom Night was a favorite for me. Fun and happy and still full of joy when I look at it.
After looking at this one, I cannot help but wonder if my La Jolla Gallery would want a few new ones like this… I really love painting them and they are full of energy and color. She ask me for figurative, so ..we will see.
We survived the rain the past five days again. Not as hard with Annie not here. She is in Savannah with George and Tuesday Hanna at Low Country Kennels. They are the breeders of her litter. Tuesday is preparing her for the big Kerry Fest in Pennsylvania. I am not sure we will make it right now to the east coast. With all the rains, we have flooding in the back and adjustments Terry must make to the yard. He has to get his storage house built before cold temperatures hit and I am ready to have the back patio extension put up.
I also want to share that we visited a new church Sunday. White Chapel UMC in Southlake. I was a bit worried we would be intimidated by the mega size.. but the early service was not really too bad or overwhelming. We felt at home with the music, the hymns and the message for the day. They are known for their great 55 and up class, so we will try that next. I think after we saw Chet and Martha Oxford last week, up visiting from the Gulf coast, our old neighbors from Mt Vernon and Lake Cypress Springs… I realized we had to move on and make some new memories and make some more friends.
“The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.” Lamentations 3:25-26
