Do you look funny on a horse?
“It's hard to lead a cavalry charge if you think you look funny on a horse.” Adlai Stevenson II
The subtle blues won my heart with this painted pony of blues and violets. Only one like it in my portfolio of work.
God thinks about that as we are each created in the womb. We are a combination of DNA from our mom and dad. We are uniquely knit together. He has a plan, a design for our lives and the gifts he has prepared for us are to be used to serve others.
In my current Bible study, this morning I read the end of John 13 and the beginning of John 14. From the two I felt great comfort. In Chapter 13 Jesus was sharing with the disciples how he was leaving and where he was going they could not follow. He challenged them to love and serve others sacrificing as he has done, pure love given from the heart. He wants us to love each other and care for each other first and foremost over everything else.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” John 14:1-4
