The sun shines not on us, but in us . . .
"The sun shines not on us but in us. The rivers flow not past, but through us. Thrilling, tingling, vibrating every fiber and cell of the substance of our bodies, making them glide and sing. The trees wave and the flowers bloom in our bodies as well as our souls, and every bird song, wind song, and tremendous storm song of the rocks in the heart of the mountains is our song, our very own, and sings our love." John Muir
At this home of one year, there is not a crepe myrtle. I am hoping this fall to plant one or two. They are my summer tree, and one of my Dad's favorites as well. Summer is their time of blooming and they are vivid and passionate as they do. The summer sun brings the color in full intensity.
Let the sun shine not just on you, but through you in every season of life. Shine on my friends.
Hebrews 12:2 "Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
