“A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.” ― Roald Dahl

I painted Sunbeam about six weeks ago.  She is a beauty in person with thick layers of paint creating a surface of energy. This painting is available and if you are interested, CONTACT ME here and I will give you 50% off and free shipping here in the US.  It should arrive in plenty of time for Christmas. It is ready to hang with finished sides.

The eyes usually are the first glimpse for me into the personality.  Not sure if it is from being an artist so long and knowing how important the eyes are in doing a portrait.  The second hint of inner peace and joy with someone is how a person reacts as they meet you... with a smile and warmth or with tired acknowledgement.  I do not think I really ever notice the features that are molding the face, only the 'feelings' that shine from the heart.

"He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears;  but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist." Isaiah 11:1-10
