You Deserve Good Things!
“Deep in the meadow, hidden far away A cloak of leaves, a moonbeam ray. Forget your woes and let your troubles lay And when it's morning again, they'll wash away. Here it's safe, here it's warm. Here the daisies guard you from every harm. Here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true. Here is the place where I love you.” ― Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games
Just a thought to mull over today. Sometimes I wonder how our generations are suppose to become strong and rounded with life and people. Over the years the need to "ME" "I" has surfaced and the ego needs to be protected. We deserve everything... we deserve good things. Yet there seems to be a difference in how you approach deserving the good things. Today children and adults want things NOW. Instant gratification. From my days growing up... you appreciate it more if you had to work or wait to receive it.
So I do agree you deserve good things in life. God does to. But your sight and life must be on HIM first and not on those things. He knows the desires of your heart, but do you know his heart?
Psalm 37:4 NIV
Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.
