Bare Feet Upon the Earth
“And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair” ― Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet
Sometimes a girl has to do what a girl has to do... then I remember I am a bit old for streaking across the backyard or down the street. But I will never be too old for walking barefoot, or sitting with feet dangling into cool water.
As the years fly by and age creeps in, your body changes and your outlook on life changes. Time is ticking away on the clock and the years are passing by. What do you want to do with the years left? Have you made a bucket list? I cannot think that far ahead. My bucket list gets knocked aside by grand daughters and grand sons. We are enjoying and drinking in every family moment that we can.
I can tell you that with passing time you truly learn not to be worried about what others think or say. You are finally arriving... arriving at the bare truth of who you are, where you have been and how you want to use the days ahead.
Even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save. Isaiah 46:4
