Kissing the Joy in Life, Painting at Sunrise
“He who kisses joy as it flies by will live in eternity's sunrise.” ― William Blake
We have been doing reading each morning at the breakfast table with Lady L. She has her children's thought for the day book, and we have Daily Word and Jesus is Calling. The teacher in me always jumps ahead to try and apply things to her young life where she can understand it.
This past week I ask her if she knew what a sponge was. She answered yes. I asked her what happened if the sponge was really dry and hard and you set it in a puddle of water. She answered thoughtfully,"It would soak up the water and be full and fluffy." That led directly into allowing ourselves to soak in God's love so we would not be hard and stiff. She got it... do you?
When you hear Jesus speak about interconnectedness with God he said,"On that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you." John 14:20
If we stay so caught up in the stress of living and working, we stay dry and stiff. We avoid spending time with God due to our busy schedules and we never allow ourselves to soak Him in.
Blessings this day with the wish for you my friend to soak in His love. Laurie
