Dancing in the Rain

“Life isn't finding shelter in the storm. It's about learning to dance in the rain.”  Sherrilyn Kenyon

Do you like to dance? Have you danced in the rain? Even in my sixties, I get the urge to step out without the umbrella.

Peter wrote: “Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though some strange thing were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed “(1 Peter 4:12-13).

Our storms whether they be worry or pain, have not been unknown to God. To ‘dance in the rain’ means to be grateful and thankful for whatever your circumstance is. We are to give thanks in all of our storms. He is right there with us and will help us carry through.. Your storm has not taken God by surprise. So again, what does it mean to “dance in the rain”? The bottom line is, it means to have a grateful and thankful heart, no matter what the circumstance.

The Bible says to “give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). And again it tells us to “always give thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 5:20).
