Amina ... Portrait

“Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter.”  Oscar Wilde

** This painting was in acrylic and one of a series I did in pop art in about 2005-2007.

I have been traveling and busy and not stopping by to share work or a even a thought. I was prepared to share more about my contemplations and my decision- but another challenge brought me to a full halt in life. Just when you believe you have made a decision you have prayed over for almost a year, something else rears up and knocks you backwards.

Meanwhile, I will try to be more present in sharing my thoughts again. I have blogged at for over 12 years. Up until 2016, i posted 6-7 days a week without missing a beat. Since 2011 I have had so many visitors, that I am closing in on one million. I have decided to see this through and post here in my Journal and there on the blog.

Did you ever feel like quitting something in life that has been woven into your being? Has something you have loved always ever become a negative thing to you? I would love to hear back from you on this one. Meanwhile I remain in prayer.

Isaiah 40:29-31

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
