All that is Gold does not Glitter . . .

“All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost.  From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king.” J R R Tolkien

Well, I was going to write about this... but then as I sat and took it on, I realized the vast meanings that are interwoven into every part of it.  It starts with how different we each are and how each of us are shaped by our life experiences which in turn affect our perceptions and definitions of  what beauty and value are and how they are expressed.   Even when it comes to truth, that is totally shaped by our life experiences.  So each of us will rely on what was in our lives to determine the interpretation of the above words.   If you want to read further... Aurora Clawson, has a great reply to this.
