Landing in the Gutter . . .
“We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.” Oscar Wilde
Beach Walk... and yes the temperatures outside right now look like this... an inferno of heat. We are reaching 108 and up. Have been for over a week now.
Sometimes our lives feel like the 'heat' is on. You cannot get cool, you yearn for relief and there is no rain in sight. What do you do when you feel you are stuck? With the heat, I turn down the air at night and sleep at 67 degrees under blankets. That helps me keep my sanity at least.
I keep the shades and curtains pulled after 10 a.m. because the heat is relentless. I listen to music of thunderstorms and wind...then I switch to waves and water. What do you do?
"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." James 1:12
