Playing Dress Up . . .
"But I'm worse. I'm a child playing dress-up, who can't even recognize herself under her own costume." Stephanie Perkins Lola and the Boy Next Door.
Having Granddaughters is a blessing. They wear your shoes and old dresses you keep for them. They love parading around the house clopping around in my high heels (Well, I don't wear them any more.) and we have the dresses sached up to stay on them and keep them from tripping when they walk. Wonder if God does that for us too when we pretend to be something we are not?
1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: Man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart."
