Rain grows flowers, not thunder. . .
“Raise your words, not voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.” ― Jalaluddin Rumi
This is the beginning . . . I had the perfect picture of Lady L in her raincoat and with this new painting, the idea of her being a part of the entire piece. It was begun without thought to destination and only the journey of the moment I was in painting.
God provides the seasons for us to grow. With it comes the sunshine and the rain and the gentle winds. Before he created you, he knew you. He knew what gifts you would have, your strengths, your weaknesses and he created you to be apart of this beautiful world. You were created to use those gifts in service to others, not in service to yourself. I stay in amazement at what he has brought forth within me, and the new things I discover daily. There seems to be times some gifts fade and others bloom forth.
Always remember your words, actions and opinions make and shape the lives of those that receive them. One smile does wonders. One positive stroke of encouragement can put forth a new creation or invention. You are the gentle rain in the lives of those you touch... encourages and nurturing.
"The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none." Deuteronomy 28:12
