Try walking five miles a day and see where it gets you...
“My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was sixty. She's ninety-seven now, and we don't know where the heck she is.” ― Ellen DeGeneres
I really do not have a huge funny bone, but this one struck me and made me giggle. We all start things trying to get somewhere and never get there and on the flip side we never start things and we always end up in odd places.
That is how painting on canvas always goes... if I have a destination I can PROMISE you I will not get there. Much easier to just let the day happen and see where it takes me. Maybe that is why they lost the grandmother in the joke above... as you get older you begin to realize the importance is those five miles every day. Enjoy them. You have twenty four hours in this day, you need some rest, but make the waking hours count.
The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Psalm 90:10
