Because He Loves Us...
“The Christian does not think God will love us because we are good, but that God will make us good because He loves us.” ― C.S. Lewis
This is the last Sunday in Advent and over the weeks we have readied our hearts and lives for this upcoming week. Today is a day to quietly reflect on the entire mystery and beauty ahead in this week. As you pause to reflect on this journey, we have allowed God to enter our world and come to be within us. We opened our hearts to receive the great gift he offered us. The Spirit of God will OPEN OUR LIVES and Jesus will come into our hearts.
I leave you with a watchful hope today and through this week. Believe what He promises us.
The angels announced the good news of a Savior. “…I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord” (Luke 2:10b-11). God sent his only Son to earth to save us, because he loves us! “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
